Sediba Sa Rona

Sediba Sa Rona

PLAN MY TRIP

Overlooking the Khwai River on the border of the Moremi Game Reserve, Sediba Sa Rona is a rebuild of one of the Okavango's oldest safari camps.

Opening in mid-March 2026, Sediba Sa Rona will feature fourteen luxury tented rooms, one of which will be a two-bedroom family unit. Each room includes an en-suite bathroom and outdoor deck overlooking the river. Nestled beneath a canopy of fig and leadwood trees, the lodge is being built to mingle seamlessly with the surrounding nature, aiming for understated luxury that is attuned to its natural setting.

Sediba Sa Rona means “one source of water” in the local language, and speaks to the magic of the life-giving Khwai River which flows in full view of the lodge. The communal dining area, the well-stocked bar, the swimming pool, multiple lounges, the fire deck, and multiple other viewing areas are havens for relaxation.

The Khwai Concession is a diverse landscape, nestled in the eastern fan of the legendary Okavango Delta and the iconic Moremi Game Reserve. The Khwai River, its surrounding floodplains and waterways, riverine forests, open grasslands, and the arid farther reaches all make the area a prime location for wildlife concentrations and diversity.

Morning and afternoon game drives are the featured activity and the best way to encounter the region’s wildlife. Walking safaris, night drives, and mokoro cruises (traditional dugout canoe) are also possible, though some activities are seasonally dependent. Bird life in the area is particularly spectacular, with over 400 species of birds having been recorded.
