Onduli Ridge

PLAN MY TRIP

Located on a private concession in the Doro !Nawas Conservancy, Onduli Ridge boasts magnificent views of the Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain.

Onduli Ridge opened in April 2021 and features six guest suites. The rooms are are hidden among granite boulders, allowing for natural ventilation, partial open-air bathrooms, and largely open communal areas.

In the heart of Damaraland the landscape consists of rugged folded hills, grassy plains, and wooded river valleys, all sprinkled throughout a largely semi-desert and sparse savannah. Onduli Ridge is within striking distance of other geological attractions such as the Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipes, and Doros Crater. Named after the Doros Crater, Doro !Nawas means “the place where rhinos roam” in the Khoekhoegowab language, and the area is home desert-adapted black rhino, elephant, other plains game, and predators such as cheetah, leopard, lion, and spotted and brown hyena.

Doro !Nawas is home to one of only two populations of desert-adapted elephants in the world. Onduli Ridge offers a unique experience to track these great beauties. If planning on an extended stay at Onduli Ridge, guests can track the world’s last population of free-roaming black rhino alongside master trackers. After a long day learning about the intricacies of this ecosystem via solar e-biking and nature drives, guests can roll their bed out onto the deck and star gaze or they can enjoy one of the many other places to relax.

This fully-inclusive camp exudes character and displays meticulous attention to detail. From the open rooms and libraries, rainfall showers, and an infinity pool to the exceptional food, the lodge promises an unforgettable stay.
