The Palm River Hotel offers 73 rooms including deluxe rooms, two-bedroom deluxe suites, honeymoon suites, executive suites, a Presidential suite, and a three-bedroom private villa. Each room is complimented by expansive views of the mighty Zambezi River which can be enjoyed from a private balcony, enabling guests to feel up close and personal with nature, even from the comfort of their rooms.
The Palm River Hotel is architecturally distinct in its savvy use of timber and corrugated iron and its consideration of climatic conditions. A highly skilled team of Zimbabwean architects and interior designers created a hotel that is at once aesthetic and functional, modern and timeless, cosmopolitan and perfectly suited to the local environment.
The restaurant at The Palm River Hotel is centrally located, featuring a large dining area under a canopy of trees. It is an à la carte restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to hotel guests and day visitors. The cuisine reflects the natural setting, using fresh, local ingredients to create unique fusion fare.
Activities in the area abound. Helicopter rides over Victoria Falls can be booked for an incredible bird’s-eye view of the falls and surrounding area. Thrill seekers can arrange a whitewater rafting experience of the grade five rapids of the Zambezi River below the falls. A romantic sunset cruise on the Zambezi can be arranged to enjoy drinks and snacks as well as a view of hippos, elephants, and crocodiles as the sun’s pink and orange hues tint the water.
