The type B rooms or bungalows come with one king-sized bed and one queen-sized bed as well as an en suite bathroom with a shower. There is also a private veranda with a garden or mountain view. The type C bungalows are perfect for families. The rooms include one king-sized bed and one queen-sized bed, a sitting room, an en suite bathroom, and a private veranda.
The lodge is conveniently located just five minutes outside the ancient and royal city of Gondar. It was the home of many emperors and princesses who led the country from the 12th century to the last decade of the 20th century. The region is also the home of the highest mountain in Ethiopia, Ras Dashen, and the Simien Mountains National Park. The city declined after Emperor Tewodros II moved his seat of Government to Debre and was damaged by British bombs during 1941. Yet, most of the castles withstood the ravages of time.
