Sarara Treehouses

PLAN MY TRIP

Entirely community-owned and nestled in a forest glade within the Namunyak Conservancy, Sarara Treehouses offer excellent wildlife sightings in a unique and beautiful setting.

Accommodations at Sarara Treehouses are comprised of six luxury tented rooms, each with en-suite toilet and adjacent outdoor shower. A family suite is also available, which consists of two tents close together, each with their own bathroom. Children aged six years and older are welcomed at camp. The tents are equipped with electrical outlets, and there are battery charging facilities available on the property.

Sarara Treehouses is a secluded ecolodge that offers an extraordinary experience to guests. Its unique “treehouses” emerge out of the forest canopy. The lodge is solar powered, free of single-use plastics, and has been thoughtfully designed to preserve the natural habitat. The main dining area and infinity pool are located where guests will enjoy amazing views of Mount Uarges, one of the Samburu’s seven sacred mountains. There is also a permanent waterhole which attracts a variety of animals.

Sarara Treehouses offers many activities, including day and night game drives, guided walks, and horse riding. Namunyak Conservancy is home to the second largest population of elephants in Kenya, the critically endangered Grevy Zebra, and over 450 reticulated giraffe. Many other species can be spotted in the area as well. Another highlight for many guests is a visit to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, just a 45-minute drive from camp.
