Etosha Heights Safari House

PLAN MY TRIP

The exclusive-use Etosha Heights Safari House is a traditional Namibian farmhouse located in the uncrowded and game-rich Etosha Heights Private Reserve.

Opening in April 2019, the renovated farmhouse will consist of three bedrooms for a maximum of six people making it ideal for families and groups. Each spacious room includes large comfy beds and plenty of air-conditioning. The en-suite bathrooms come with flush toilets and showers. Moreover, the house comes with the use of a private chef, safari vehicle, and guide so that meals and activities are available when desired.

The farmhouse is located within the exclusive Etosha Heights Private Reserve. The reserve encompasses around 150,000 acres of unspoiled wildlife in one of the largest private reserves in Namibia and shares a forty-three-mile border with the world famous Etosha National Park. Elephants, kudu, springbok, and herds of antelopes roam the open savannas. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, and other predators stalk their prey from the shadows of the dolomite hills and mopane woodlands. Moreover, endangered white rhinos can be spotted drinking from one of the many waterholes.

Early morning and late afternoon game drives conducted by expert guides track the elusive black and white rhinos as well as offering a chance to spot elephants and the big cats from the comfort of a 4-wheel drive safari vehicle. At night, powerful spotlights are used to spy on the antics of Namibia’s nocturnal animals. Bush breakfasts and picnic lunches are available upon request for enjoying a delicious meal while feasting the eyes on the beauties and wonders of their private reserve. The house’s double-story photography hide is the best spot for taking that perfect photo.

The farmhouse also comes with its own private kitchen where the chef cooks up delicious meals to be enjoyed in the spacious dining room. There is also a large living room fitted with comfy chairs and couches. However, the house’s best feature is its wraparound porch where guests can sit in the shade and watch the animals drinking at the nearby waterhole. The large pool is the best place to be during the afternoon heat. Additional amenities include an outdoor braai for barbecuing and a large, fenced garden.
