This part of the city has many beautiful buildings and important sites from this period including the Castle, the Slave Tree, and even traces of the wild olive hedge planted to keep the wildlife out. Some important places nearby include the National Museum at the top end of Adderley Street where it meets Wale Street as well as the Company Gardens with the beautiful oak walk.
