Victoria Falls Safari Club

PLAN MY TRIP

Located on the doorstep of one of the world’s natural wonders, Victoria Falls Safari Club offers an exclusive, boutique hotel experience.

Accommodations at the hotel consist of 4 club suites and 16 club rooms, all with a modern open-plan design and decorated in earthy hues that blend into the beauty of their natural surroundings. The club rooms, each feature two three-quarter beds that may be converted to a king-size, have sliding glass doors, and gauze screens which open out onto a private balcony. The en suite bathrooms have a large bath and separate walk-in rainfall shower, plus the added luxuries of bathrobes and slippers. Theclub suites take the comfort-level one step further and add a lounge for relaxing and enjoying the views. Other amenities include a complimentary minibar, beverage station with a Nespresso machine, an in-room safe, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and free Wi-Fi.

The Safari Club is located near world famous Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia where the Zambezi River drops more than 100m into the Batoka Gorge forming the falls itself. Named after Queen Victoria by Scottish explorer and missionary, David Livingston, the falls are often referred to as “Mosi-oa-Tunya” or the Smoke that Thunders. At 1.7km wide, it is the largest curtain of falling water in the world. Historically rich, evidence of dinosaur remains from over 200 hundred years ago as well as late stone age tools have been found here.

Due to its close proximity to Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River, the Safari Club offers a wide range of activities, many focused on the waterways. The resort provides hide sits, guided walks, and nature trails and the Vulture Culture Experience occurs daily below the Buffalo Bar viewing deck. Other activities that can be booked from the Activities Desk include: white water rafting, canoeing, helicopter flights over Victoria Falls, game drives, sunset cruises, gorge swings, and canopy tours. There is also a courtesy shuttle bus to visit the Victoria Falls Rainforest, town center, and craft markets.

The resort’s central guest area features a lounge, dining area and bar, as well as a viewing deck which overlooks the game corridor to the Zambezi River and a wildlife-rich waterhole. A hearty breakfast, a light lunch menu, and platter-style dinners are served at the Safari Club Lounge. Guests can enjoy the colonial luxuries of afternoon tea and pastries, plus a complimentary head and shoulder or foot massage on the viewing deck. The famous Buffalo Bar and the deluxe MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant at the nearby Victoria Falls Safari Lodge can also be enjoyed by those staying at the Safari Club. Finally, the end of the day is celebrated with sundowner cocktails and canapés served on the viewing deck as the sun sets over the wild beauty of Africa.
