The camp is situated Linyanti Wildlife Reserve which covers 309,000 acres in Northern Botswana near the western boundary of Chobe National Park. The area is famous for the Linyanti River and marshlands, a massive draw for neighboring wildlife. Enormous herds of elephants move down the river at the start of the dry season before moving back inland for the rainy season. Large lagoons and rivers full of papyrus and phragmites give to way to riverine forests and then dry inland woods. The marshes are home to red lechwe, sitatunga, hippo, crocodiles, and an abundance of diverse birdlife. The banks are home to kudu, zebra, buffalo, waterbuck, and impala. While lions, leopards, and wild dogs come here to stalk their prey.
