Stanley & Livingstone Boutique Hotel

PLAN MY TRIP

Opening on September 1st, 2018, The Stanley and Livingstone Boutique Hotel will be Victoria Falls first boutique hotel.

Accommodations at the hotel consist of sixteen luxury suites. Each suite is charmingly decorated with simple and elegant colonial furnishings with a spacious bedroom featuring a satellite television, air conditioning, and a mini bar. The suites can be configured as either a double or a twin and two sets of suites are inter-leading. The room’s en suite bathroom comes with both a shower and bath. Plus, each suite enjoys its own private terrace for relaxing and taking in the views of the lovely landscaped gardens.

The hotel is just outside the town of Victoria Falls and ten minutes from the falls itself. Victoria Falls is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia where the Zambezi River drops more than 328 feet into the Batoka Gorge forming the falls itself. Named after Queen Victoria by Scottish explorer and missionary, David Livingston, the falls are often referred to as “Mosi-oa-Tunya” or the Smoke that Thunders. At 5,604 feet wide, it is the largest curtain of falling water in the world. The hotel sits within the 6,200-acre Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve.

There are many activities to choose from at the hotel. Morning and afternoon game drives explore the game-rich Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve. Walking safaris provide a closer and more intimate at the flora and fauna in the park. Helicopter rides over Victoria Falls can be booked for an unequaled and incredible bird’s-eye view of the majestic Victoria Falls and surrounding area. Thrill seekers can arrange a whitewater rafting experience of the grade 5 rapids of the Zambezi River. Other extreme adrenaline activities include the gorge swing, zip line, flying fox, as well as a canopy tour. Finally, a romantic sunset cruise on the Zambezi can be arranged to enjoy drinks and snacks as well as a view of hippos, elephants, and crocodiles as the sun’s pink and orange hues color the water.

The hotel has a gourmet restaurant where guests can sit inside or outside on the elevated terrace overlooking the waterhole. The bar and lounge also open onto the dining terrace. For even more relaxation, the hotel’s spa includes a couple’s treatment room, steam room, and his and hers changing rooms and showers. There is also a state of the art gym and swimming pool. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
