Batonka Lodge in Victoria Falls is a peaceful haven in a residential neighborhood with access to the adrenaline-fueled activities of the Falls.

Accommodations at the twenty-two-room lodge harmoniously blend modern décor with a colonial feel. Each air-conditioned room is comfortably furnished and includes a television, complimentary Wi-Fi, and tea/coffee facilities. The en suite bathrooms feature double vanities and a shower. While eleven of the rooms also come with a large bathtub. Each room has a private veranda overlooking the lush gardens. Several rooms include interconnecting doors for family setups.

Victoria Falls is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia where the Zambezi River drops more than 328 feet into the Batoka Gorge forming the falls itself. Named after Queen Victoria by Scottish explorer and missionary, David Livingston, the falls are often referred to as “Mosi-oa-Tunya” or the Smoke that Thunders. At 5,604 feet wide, it is the largest curtain of falling water in the world.

There are a wide range of activities to choose from at the Falls. Helicopter rides over Victoria Falls can be booked for an unequaled and incredible bird’s-eye view of the majestic Victoria Falls and surrounding area. Thrill seekers can arrange a whitewater rafting experience of the grade 5 rapids of the Zambezi River. Other extreme adrenaline activities include the bungee jumping, a gorge swing, zip lining, microlight flights, as well as a canopy tour. Horseback riding safaris for a unique view of the area. Going a little further afield, there are days trip to the game-rich Chobe National Park.
