For an intimate and welcoming retreat to the lush wilderness of Botswana, Little Sable is the ideal place to be.
Accommodations at the camp consist of just eight meru-style tents. Each tent is furnished with a large, inviting king-bed that can be converted into two twins and a writing desk for sending postcards back home or recording the day’s adventures. The en-suite bathroom includes a dual vanity, flush toilet, and a shower. The tent’s best feature is the private veranda with chairs for relaxing and soaking in the sights of the lush grassland and its inhabitants.
Little Sable is situated within the 440,000-acre Khwai Private Reserve bordering the Okavango Delta World Heritage Site. One of the best maintained concessions, Khwai comprises a diverse number of habitats including riverine woodlands, open floodplains, river, and mopane woodland. This part of Botswana its fed by the rains from Angola that run down the Khwai and Sable Alley Rivers making it a year-round verdant paradise. A variety of game animals live here too from lions, leopards, wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, buffaloes, and the sable antelopes. Rare wildlife like wild dogs, serval cats, and the elusive pangolin have been spotted here. The camp is also quite close to the world-famous Moremi Game Reserve.
