Ideally located in the Sabi Sand Reserve, Arathusa Safari Lodge offers deluxe accommodations and exceptional service.

Arathusa has nine luxury suites that face the large waterhole. The suites are open, airy and decorated with natural fabrics that blend harmoniously with the natural environment. Each suite has an en suite bathroom with a deep, soaking bath, an indoor shower, and a romantic outdoor shower. A private veranda invites guests to unwind and enjoy the magnificent views. Additional amenities include a mini bar, electronic safe, hairdryer, air-conditioner, and tea and coffee mosquito. There are also four Bush-facing Luxury Suites that not only have all the amenities and comforts of the suites by also enjoy their own private plunge pool, a cozy lounge, and are remotely located for additional privacy.

The lodge is situated in the beautiful Sabi Sands Game Reserve which shares thirty-one miles of unfenced land with the world-famous Kruger National Park. It is an area famous for the wide diversity of its wildlife including the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. Set between the perennial Sand and Sabi Rivers, the Sabi Sands Reserve comprises 160,618-acres and boasts one of the highest and most bio-diverse populations of any reserve in Africa. Bird lovers will delight in the 300-bird species found here as well. The diverse environment is comprised of open savannas, riverine thickets, river beds, and lush bush vegetation. The perennial Manyeleti River meanders its way through the property.

Daily game drives are conducted in comfortable open Land Rovers by expert guides and trackers who lead the expedition through the bush in the cool of the morning or in the late afternoon. The Tracker sits up front in search of fresh animal tracks and close encounters with wildlife are guaranteed as the animals in the area are not threatened by humans being present thanks to the lodge’s sound conservation management policies. There will be plenty of opportunities for an excellent photo of the Big Five game animals and more. Bush walks are led by one of the lodge’s experienced rangers for a more intimate and up-close look at the flora and fauna of the region.

The main lodge has an open-plan design and natural building materials that its wild setting and houses a comfy lounge, restaurant, and bar. Meals here consist of sumptuous dishes, fresh produce, and daily baked confectioneries. Of course, an al fresco dinner is served in the traditional open-air boma. The Safari Spa offers a wide-menu of pampering spa treatments. While the refreshing infinity swimming pool overlooks a busy waterhole. At night, guests gather around the campfire for a drink and a chance to swap stories.
