Twelve Apostles Hotel

PLAN MY TRIP

Perched on the edge of the world, the elegant Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is a five-star property with access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Twelve Apostles and Table Mountain near popular Cape Town.

Accommodations consist of a variety of rooms and suites including a Presidential Suite. The light and airy rooms and suites feature air conditioning, entertainment centers with DVD, and plush bathrobes and slippers. The en suite rooms come with either a king or two twin beds. The suites also include a lounge and elegant en suite bathroom with a bath and shower. While the exquisite Presidential Suite has a wraparound terrace, an open-plan eight-seater dining room with bar and lounge area, master bedroom, business-ready study as well as ‘his’ and ‘hers’ bathrooms.

Set between the slopes of the Twelve Apostles and the Atlantic Ocean, the hotel is just fifteen minutes from Cape Town. Cape Town’s historic sector includes the Company Gardens, the National Museum & Art Gallery, the Parliament buildings, and Green Market Square with its local artisans. Nearby, Table Mountain is a destination in itself, and can be reached by cableway or a hike up to the top. Any visit to Cape Town should involve a visit to one of the many beaches.

Cape Town’s most notable and visited attraction is the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Still a working dock, visitors can watch ships come and go. The V & A, as it is locally known, also boasts hundreds of shops and is a departing point for ferries to Hout Bay, Simon’s Town, the Cape Fur Seal colony, and Robben Island, location of the Nelson Mandela Gateway. Other nearby attractions include Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Artscape Theatre Centre, Cape Winelands, and Cape Town Stadium, a 2010 FIFA World Cup venue. Dolphin and whale watching are also popular tourist attractions as well as cage diving with great white sharks for the more daring.

The hotel offers fine dining at Azure Restaurant and delicious cocktails and breath-taking sunsets at The Leopard Bar where guests can whale watch from the terrace. Afternoon ‘Tea by the Sea’ is the perfect way to savor delicious homemade scones, jams, cupcakes, finger sandwiches, tarts, and other mouth-watering delicacies. There are also pampering treatments in the holistic spa with its stunning outdoor gazebos and a refreshing pool.
