The Farmstead at Royal Malewane

PLAN MY TRIP

Surrounding a popular waterhole, The Farmstead at Royal Malewane provides all the lavish comforts and services of its sister property as well as magnificent views and plenty of game sightings.

Opening in June 2019, accommodations at the Farmstead will consist of three luxury suites and the private Farmhouse villa. Each of the three suites include a spacious bedroom. The en suite bathroom includes a deep tub, indoor shower, and romantic outdoor shower. There is even a front and back veranda with a private deck and pool overlooking the spectacular bush. The Farmhouse villa is perfect for groups or families and features three large bedrooms and a smaller children’s room. In addition, the villa comes with its own chef, housekeeper, and butler as well as a private safari vehicle with a dedicated Ranger and Tracker. It also enjoys a large deck and pool.

The Farmstead is just twelve minutes from Royal Malewane and is located on a private reserve within South Africa’s renowned Kruger National Park. One of Africa’s most well-known conservation areas, Kruger claims nearly 150 species of large mammals, more than any other African game reserve. Webcams are set up to catch sight of the “big five”: elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. In addition to supporting the packs of endangered African wild dog, the park is home to many other animals including zebra, cheetah, giraffe, hippo, wildebeest, impala, and spotted hyena. Over 500 bird species have been spotted in the park, and indigenous reptiles include the black mamba and crocodile.

Royal Malewane is known for providing exceptional safari experiences with the most qualified guiding team in Africa. Daily games drives will explore the abundant wildlife in comfortable safari vehicles. A guided bushwalk with a knowledgeable local tribesman offers a unique and intimate look at the flora and fauna of the area. In addition to which, there are also thrilling helicopter flights, hot air balloon flights, canyon cruises, golf outings, and horseback safaris available upon request. After a dusty adventure, guests can unwind with a little pampering session in the double spa treatment room.

The main lodge area houses the spa treatment room, wide fireplace, gym, and a spacious deck overlooking the busy waterhole. Delicious meals are paired with fine South African wines and served on the deck thereby providing a feast for the palate and eyes. The eclectic design of the Farmstead utilizes light oak, tin roofs, wrought iron, and fabrics in gentle blues and whites covering deep, cushy sofas and armchairs.
