Serene and beautiful like the water lily it takes its inspiration from, Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp provides sumptuous luxury on its own Delta island.
Accommodation at Xaranna consists of nine light and airy canvas and bleached timber tented suites that offer great views across the delta. A comfortable night sleep can be enjoyed on a four-poster double bed. The en-suite bathrooms have sunken bathtub as well as both indoor and outdoor showers. Each suite also comes with a private butler for even more attentive service. But the ultimate treat is the suite’s private sala, a wooden outdoor deck that includes a daybed and a plunge pool making it the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauties of the Delta.
Xaranna is located on the channels and lagoons of the southern seasonal part of the world-famous Okavango Delta within a 62,000-acre private concession southeast of the Moremi Game Reserve. The Okavango Delta is born of two rivers that meander down from the Angolan highlands and disappears beneath the sands of the Kalahari, creating a lush inland delta. The area is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including some animals adapted to the semi-aquatic lifestyle, such as the red lechwe and sitatunga. Lions, cheetah, leopard, and African wild dog are occasionally encountered, while hippo make the deeper channels and lagoons their home. The area supports the continent’s largest concentration of elephant and buffalo, while roan and sable antelope are often spotted in the open woodlands.
