Located in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park on the edge of an enormous lagoon, this family owned and operated lodge blends beautifully into the landscape and offers a relaxed and luxurious ambiance.

Focused on relaxation and privacy, and sheltered by magnificent trees, Sungani Lodge offers guests opportunities to enjoy uninterrupted time in a beautiful and charming setting. The lodge is composed of seven custom designed tented rooms built on elevated decks and furnished with natural and elegant textures. The tents are set on polished concrete floors, which creates a cool environment.

Carefully curated interiors showcase a variety of locally sourced materials. Each tent has luxury linens, private deck and plunge pool, indoor and outdoor shower and toilet, air conditioning, and ceiling fan. Complimentary daily laundry service is offered, and hairdryers are available in each room.

A variety of activities are available and amenities for guests to enjoy. These include day and night game drives in custom built safari vehicles, outdoor dining and bar areas, bird watching, boating, and guided nature walks. The safari vehicles are equipped with luxury seats, Manfrotto camera rests, comfortable footrests, and a roof canopy designed to be easily removed upon request. All-day game drives can be arranged upon request, and these provide an excellent opportunity to deeply explore this remote area. Walking safaris with the expert guiding team offer a unique opportunity to explore the banks of the Luangwa River and its floodplains.

South Luangwa National Park is considered one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world and is home to many animals including all the big cats, wild dogs, Roan antelope and many other antelope species, crocodile, hippos, mongoose, and an incredible variety of birdlife.
