Simbambili Game Lodge

PLAN MY TRIP

Simbambili is a comfortably furnished game lodge in one of South Africa's most iconic wildlife areas

With nine luxury suites, including two upgraded rooms, Simbambili provides a luxury space to accommodate every type of traveler. Each standalone suite is built with a thatched roof but modern furnishings, drawing inspiration from natural roots to craft contemporary style. Each suite has a bathroom with shower, free standing bath, and double vanity, as well as air conditioning and Wi-Fi to provide modern comfort in a wild environment. Each room has a private plunge pool for a refreshing cool-down in the afternoons. The upgraded suites are farther removed from the rest of the lodge, offering more privacy, and are built with extra lounge space. Spacious decks outside each room are the perfect place to re¬¬lax under the trees and watch the wildlife that wanders in front of the camp.

Located on the Sabi Sands Game Reserve near South Africa’s Kruger National Park, Simbambili offers access to unparalleled wildlife in a uniquely protected ecosystem. Known for its leopard sightings, big five encounters, and bird life, this area is home to several game lodges, but none that blend in as seamlessly with its environment as Simbambili. A waterhole just outside the lodge attracts wildlife of all shapes and sizes.

Guests at Simbambili have the benefit of expert guides that are happy to share all their bush knowledge. Game drives and walking safaris out into the bush allow guests to personally explore the savanna and the diverse wildlife it has to offer. Bush breakfasts and dinners serve the same fine dining experience as back at camp, but in the beautiful wild. A spa on site offers guests luxurious facials with naturally sourced beauty products and relaxing massages with wilderness views.

Fresh ingredients used in camp cooking are sourced from nearby Thornybush Community Garden, an initiative that allows camps in the area to use locally grown produce provided by the community. Simbambili’s parent company, Thornybush, draws people together in the name of sustainable growth and positive impact. Training guides and other safari professionals, as well as working on education initiatives, Thornybush works in the communities around them to positively influence livelihoods, help the environment, and boost local economies.
