Etosha Mountain Lodge

Ideally located in the exclusive Etosha Heights Private Reserve, Etosha Mountain Lodge is an intimate and cozy, safari-chic destination far from the tourist crowds.

Accommodations at the lodge consist of seven, comfortable chalets. There are six twin rooms and one family room to choose from. The en suite bathroom comes with a refreshing indoor shower and an enormous bathtub, perfect for soaking in after a dusty day of adventure. The chalet’s are simply and elegantly furnished and include a desk and chair, refrigerator, hairdryers, battery-charging facilities, and complimentary laundry service. There is even a private patio where guests can relax and take in the wild beauties of the private reserve.

The lodge is located on the side of an iconic dolomite hill within the exclusive Etosha Heights Private Reserve. The reserve encompasses around 150,000 acres of unspoiled wildlife in one of the largest private reserves in Namibia and shares a forty-three-mile border with the world famous Etosha National Park. Elephants, kudu, springbok, and herds of antelopes roam the open savannas. While lions, cheetahs, leopards, and other predators stalk their prey from the shadows of the dolomite hills and mopane woodlands. Moreover, endangered white rhinos can be spotted drinking from one of the many waterholes.

Early morning and late afternoon game drives are conducted by expert guides who track the elusive black and white rhinos as well as offer a chance to spot elephants and the big cats from the comfort of a 4-wheel drive safari vehicle. At night, powerful spotlights are used to spy on the antics of Namibia’s nocturnal animals. Bush breakfasts and picnic lunches are available upon request for enjoying a delicious meal while feasting the eyes on the beauties and wonders of their private reserve.

The lodge’s central area houses a restaurant, bar, and cozy sitting area. The breezy lapa area invites guests to relax and take in the views with a cool drink. There is also a well-stocked wine cellar and a curio shop for all those must have trinkets and souvenirs. The lodge’s refreshing swimming pool is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon while still taking in the views.
