With just four guest rooms available only for private bookings, it’s the perfect destination for families, small groups, or private guided parties. The camp is named after the natural waterhole in front of the camp, a focal point where wildlife frequently gather, especially during the dry season. Visitors can witness elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, and many more species as they come to drink.

Operating from May to November, Muddy Teak provides unparalleled access to the Camp Hwange concession, offering flexibility for personalized schedules. The camp’s location within an unspoiled ecosystem covering over 500,000 km² allows for exceptional wildlife encounters.

Despite being in the wilderness, Muddy Teak is easily accessible from Victoria Falls by light aircraft, with a short flight to Shumba Airfield, just 15 minutes from camp. This makes it easy to combine a visit with a stay at this iconic natural wonder.

The camp is designed with comfort in mind, offering raised tents and a main lounge area set beneath the tree canopy, providing elevated views towards the waterhole.
