Known as the sunrise camp, Little Chem Chem is an intimate camp with an “Out of Africa” aura near Tarangire National Park.
Accommodations at the lodge consist of only six elegant vintage safari tents. Each tent comes with a large bedroom with a rocking chair, study desk, and a vanity area with dressing room. Three of the tents have king-size beds while two offer twin beds. The en suite bathroom features a shower and a flush toilet. There is also a family tent consisting of two en suite bedrooms with a king-sized bed in the master and two twin beds in the children’s room. Every tent enjoys its own private veranda and fire pit. Additional amenities include a bathrobe and slippers, an in-room safe, and free Wi-Fi.
The lodge is located in its own private concession which forms part of the Burunge Wildlife Management Area that runs between Lake Manyara and game-rich Tarangire National Park. The 49,421-acre concession guarantees exclusive wildlife viewing away from the crowds. Best known for its impressive elephant population, Tarangire National Park is home to large herds totaling nearly 2,500 individuals. The sixth largest national park in Tanzania, it occupies 1,096 square miles. The park is also famous for its huge number of baobab trees, tree climbing lions, resident zebra, and wildebeest.
