Chobe Chilwero

PLAN MY TRIP

Comfortable opulence, gourmet cuisine, and awe-inspiring elephant sightings intertwine perfectly for an unforgettable safari experience at Chobe Chilwero in Botswana, Africa.

Ideal for couples or for families with children of any age, Chobe Chilwero encompasses fourteen thatched guest cottages. There is also one romantic honeymoon suite which features a private plunge pool and comes with its own private vehicle and guide for game activities. Each spacious suite features an outdoor shower, private garden, and en-suite bathroom with free-standing bath and indoor shower. Guests are welcome to enjoy an intimate dinner served in the privacy of their own patio and garden. Coffee stations are now also included in each room.

On the edge of beautiful Chobe National Park and overlooking the majestic Chobe River, this memorable oasis provides panoramic views of the wildlife, islands, and floodplains as far as Namibia. Since Africa’s largest elephant population resides in this corner of the continent between Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, and Zimbabwe, elephant viewing is an important highlight for guests at Chobe Chilwero.

Game drives led by qualified professional guides are conducted in open-sided 4×4 vehicles providing sightings of the incredible diversity of wildlife including hippo, buffalo, puku, impala, kudu, red lechwe, lion, and leopard. A sundowner cruise on the Chobe River is an ideal way to enjoy a cocktail while relishing an African sunset. Specially designed riverboats glide down the river and provide close-ups of wildlife savoring the cool of the evening. Wading elephants, grazing sable and roan antelopes, and preying wild dog and lion are just a few of the wildlife species that abound along the water’s edge. There are also tours to nearby Victoria Falls, one the seven natural wonders of the world. The camp also provides kid’s activities.

The luxurious main lodge exudes a resort-like atmosphere. Chobe Chilwero is well known for its exceptional cuisine, and features a split-level swimming pool with incredible views. The lodge is home to the first full spa on the Botswana safari circuit. Environmentally friendly and nature-inspired treatments seek to relax, restore, and revitalize guests. Trained spa professionals pamper guests using a variety of treatments and facilities including indoor spa bath, Vichy showers, hydrotherapy, plunge pool, relaxation area, and private treatment rooms, one of which is elevated in the treetops.
