A magnificent treehouse with all the attention and amenities of a five-star hotel, Narina Lodge perches high among the canopy of century-old trees overlooking the beautiful Sabie River in the world-famous Kruger National Park.

Accommodation at Lion Sands Narina Lodge consists of nine luxury suites in complete and blissful privacy. Each suite has comfortable double beds and an en suite bathroom featuring a large porcelain tub perfect for a bubble bath, as well as an indoor shower, and an outdoor shower all with panoramic views of the lush, green world outside. The suites all come with a private lounge furnished with cushioned chairs and sofas, an ideal spot for relaxing and reading a good book or journaling about the day’s adventures. Guests can enjoy sweeping views of the river from the refreshing waters of their private plunge pool or from the covered deck. Other amenities include air-conditioning, fans, mosquito nets, in-room safe, and personal mini-bar. The rooms are linked to the main area by raised walkways beneath the dense, green foliage of the over-hanging trees.

Narina Lodge along with its sister property Tinga Lodge is one of only seven private concessions in the Kruger National Park – a 5,000-hectare private park with the highest concentration of Black Rhino in South Africa. Ideally situated, the lodge enjoys access to both the Sabie and Sands Rivers affording a view of the diverse game found in and around the water. Kruger National Park is home to the Big Five and boasts one of the highest concentration of game per hectare on the planet. It’s also a great place for rare leopard viewing.

Game drives are conducted twice a day in off-road vehicles that can follow the animals through rough terrain. For a more intimate adventure, guided walking safaris take guests back to the life of the original pioneers and hunters traversing the wilds up close. Bird watching, astronomy, bush breakfasts, bush dinners, river walks, hippo tours, safari lunches, and wildlife lectures are also available. For a cultural tour, the lodge provides the wonderful opportunity to visit the Henna Pre-School within the Huntington community, and to see first-hand the work that More Community Trust does to help the local population. An all-inclusive property, the rates include all meals, premium brand beers, spirits, cellar wines, & champagnes as well as all soft drinks, laundry, and free Wi-Fi in guest areas. Most meals are served outside with dinners under the stars and prepared by expert chefs using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
