Nxamaseri Island Lodge

PLAN MY TRIP

On a remote island in Bostwana's legendary Okavango Delta, this classic lodge showcases the landscape's unique natural beauty

The lodge’s accommodation consists of eight chalets, with six standard rooms, a two-bedroom family room, and a honeymoon suite. Each tented room is built on a raised wooden deck tucked into the trees. The private patio areas are furnished with comfortable seating and are a peaceful place to relax in the warm afternoons. En-suite bathrooms, safes, fans, and complimentary Wi-Fi bring modern comfort to the rugged wilderness.

Situated on an island amid the Nxamaseri waterways, Nxamaseri Island Lodge has unparalleled access to Botswana’s unique wildlife. The game-rich and diverse Okavango Delta is a beautiful and remote ecosystem that the lodge complements through its natural décor and focus on conservation. Expansive views of the delta are around every corner on the property. Guests can experience unique African birdlife as well as iconic safari mammals on game drives, guided walks, and boat trips. The water is home to colorful fish and reed frogs that fill the night with their sounds.

Nxamaseri’s expertly trained guides show guests everything the land has to offer through daily game drives. Fishing along the waterways is a popular activity for both new and experienced fishermen. A short mokoro trip to one of the many nearby islands, and a walking safari after, give guests the opportunity to experience the wild up close. In the distance, the ancient Tsodilo hills form the highest point in Botswana. They are covered in ancient paintings from the San people of Northern Botswana.

The camp incorporates natural elements of the wilderness into the overall design of the lodge. However, the local cultures, current and ancient, also inform the décor and focus. Colorful textiles over natural wood floors combine the vibrant culture of Northern Botswana with the rugged landscape.
