South Africa

Kambaku Safari Lodge

PLAN MY TRIP

Settled in South Africa’s most popular national park, this kid-friendly lodge is the perfect place to build beautiful family memories

With just eight chalets on the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve in the heart of South Africa’s Kruger National Park, the atmosphere surrounding Kambaku Safari Lodge is intimate and personal. Each chalet is furnished with an en suite bathroom with separate bath and shower, as well as a patio area that allows guests to relax outside in the privacy of their own space.

The lodge makes its home in the world-renowned Kruger National Park on a small private nature reserve. Known for its diverse birdlife, plant life, and game, the reserve is home to cheetah, wild dogs, rhino, elephant, and countless other captivating African species. This reserve is also the only place in the world that is the natural home of rare white lions. Protected since 1956, the wilderness has been untouched and preserved for people to safely observe Africa’s iconic wildlife.

The expansive landscape is available to visitors in a vehicle or on foot through guided walking safaris. A specially developed kids program allows children to become junior rangers and practice their scouting skills over the course of their stay. Guests can make use of the property’s open gym, library, pool, and children’s area for more relaxing on-site activities. Communal brunch is served either poolside or on the veranda for guests to enjoy every morning. Visitors enjoy locally sourced cuisine at dinner before gathering around a bonfire under the stars.

Kambaku Safari Lodge is particularly family-focused, endeavoring to create memorable moments for families and children. Babysitting services, as well as toys and games, are available to entertain younger visitors while allowing parents to relax. A proud “green” lodge, Kambaku runs entirely off solar power and supports initiatives that help communities provide produce that the lodge uses every day.
