Baines’ Lodge

PLAN MY TRIP

In the heart of the Okavango Delta, where floodplains stretch endlessly toward the horizon, Baines’ Lodge emerges as a reimagined retreat of quiet luxury and wild beauty.

With just six suites raised above the floodplains, the lodge combines contemporary design with one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes. Interiors feature soft pastel tones, while private decks and open-air Star Baths offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding wilderness and night skies.

Shared areas are connected by elevated wooden walkways and include the Explorer’s Lounge and a swimming pool, creating comfortable spaces to relax between activities. The lodge has been designed with sustainability in mind, using solar power and responsibly sourced timber to ensure a light environmental footprint.

Baines’ Lodge lies within a private 260,000-acre concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, giving guests access to a wide variety of habitats and wildlife. Game drives are complemented by experiences not always possible in national parks, such as walking safaris, night drives, seasonal mokoro outings, and motorboat explorations. Wildlife in this area includes elephant, lion, and African wild dog, alongside an impressive diversity of birdlife.

With its limited scale and extensive concession, Baines’ Lodge offers a safari experience that balances comfort and exclusivity with a strong sense of place. The redesign places equal emphasis on aesthetics, sustainability, and access to wilderness, positioning the lodge as a contemporary base from which to explore one of Africa’s most celebrated ecosystems.
