Namibia

Nkasa Linyanti

PLAN MY TRIP

Set on a private island within Namibia’s remote Nkasa Rupara National Park, Nkasa Linyanti offers an immersive safari experience in one of Southern Africa’s most biodiverse wetland ecosystems.

Located where the Linyanti and Kwando river systems converge, this intimate camp provides exclusive access to a pristine wilderness of floodplains, reed-lined channels, wooded islands and open savannah, all within the vast Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area.

Designed to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, the camp features just six elevated under-canvas tents, thoughtfully positioned beneath mature leadwood and sausage trees overlooking the floodplains. Each tent combines understated luxury with contemporary safari style, featuring en-suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers, handcrafted furnishings, natural textures and canvas walls that open wide to embrace the surrounding landscape.

The main guest area includes an open-air lounge and dining space, a swimming pool, bar, and firepit where guests can gather beneath the stars after a day in the bush. Fully solar-powered and designed with sustainability at its core, Nkasa Linyanti reflects Natural Selection’s commitment to conservation and low-impact tourism.

Wildlife viewing here is exceptional. The park is home to Namibia’s largest concentration of buffalo, as well as elephant, lion, leopard, hippo, red lechwe, sable antelope, roan antelope, sitatunga and the endangered African wild dog. Bird enthusiasts will find a paradise of more than 430 recorded species.

Activities showcase both the land and water environments that make this region so unique. Guests can enjoy day and night game drives, guided walking safaris, boating excursions along the Linyanti River, traditional mokoro journeys through the wetlands, birdwatching, and cultural visits to nearby communities.
