With fifteen spacious suites, including one two-bedroom suite that accommodates six guests, the lodge is perfectly designed for groups adventuring together. Each room takes advantage of the lodge’s unique elevated location by facing the beautiful landscape outside. Guests can enjoy the view from a day bed on their private balcony, an outdoor bath, or an outdoor shower. The style is that of a traditional African safari, maximizing the use of natural materials and neutral tones to seamlessly blend in with the ecosystem.

Located in Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, Mpingo Ridge Lodge is situated perfectly to offer guests expansive views of the landscape as well as up-close encounters with the wildlife. The lodge looks out over the Tarangire River and the tree-filled valley below. The national park is home to lion, large elephant herds, and diverse African birdlife. From July to November, the area attracts migrating herds of wildebeest, zebra, eland, and buffalo.

Mpingo Ridge Lodge offers guests the opportunity to explore the vast landscape and varied wildlife on a game drive led by an experienced safari guide, including night drives that expose visitors to unique, less active nocturnal wildlife. Walking safaris are personal experiences perfect for those looking to better connect with the environment around them. Custom-built open air safari vehicles seat up to six guests, with the option to book a private vehicle for a more intimate safari experience. For adventurous visitors, Mpingo can arrange a sunrise hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti that culminates in a fully prepared bush breakfast on the plains.

The elevated main lodge in camp contains multiple communal dining and lounge areas, as well as access to a swimming pool and a spa. A variety of massages and spa treatments are administered by expert therapists and are a relaxing way to escape from daily activity. The lodge is focused on conservation of local wildlife and actively supports nearby communities through small business sponsorship.
