The lodge has many unique excursions to choose from. The Rainforest walk is an easy, ranger led hike through the Usa Rainforest where natural springs flow and colobus and velvet monkeys play. A thirty-minute walk takes guests to the local village of Usa for a tour of the town’s orphanage, dispensary, and rehabilitation center. The Organic Coffee Walk visits Nkoaranga to see and smell the high-quality, pesticide-free coffee beans being grown and cultivated here by local families. For a little more adventure, the Mount Meru hike is a two-hour tour to the top of Lemala Hill and includes a farmhouse lunch. Finally, the Lake Dulati hike travels around the rainforest-ringed crater lake with the aid of a knowledgeable ranger.

The main lodge building is designed like a traditional safari lodge with an inviting fireplace as its central focus. Set on different floors, the main building houses the lounge, lobby, bar, and restaurant. Outside, two terraces overlook the gardens and can be used for al fresco meals. The lodge’s large swimming pool includes changing rooms, toilets, and showering facilities. For even more relaxation, there is a massage room on site.
