Laragai House

PLAN MY TRIP

Laragai House is an exclusive-use private house set within Borana Conservancy, a protected landscape in Kenya’s Laikipia region.

Designed as a spacious country home rather than a lodge, the house is rented in its entirety and suited to families or groups seeking privacy, flexibility, and a residential safari experience.

The house accommodates up to sixteen guests across eight en-suite bedrooms, arranged in the main house and adjacent cottages. Interiors are informal and comfortable, with multiple sitting areas, a central dining space, and wide verandas overlooking open plains and Mount Kenya in the distance. A swimming pool, gardens, and shaded outdoor areas allow guests to spend much of the day outside, while a full team of staff provides hosting, housekeeping, guiding, and meals tailored to guest preferences.

Stays at Laragai House are fully hosted and include access to the wildlife and activities of Borana Conservancy. Game drives are offered in open safari vehicles, with opportunities to see black and white rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, and a wide range of plains game. Guided walks, mountain biking, horse riding, and visits to the conservancy’s rhino sanctuary can also be arranged, subject to availability and age restrictions. For guests interested in conservation, time can be spent learning about Borana’s land management and wildlife protection initiatives.

With no fixed schedules, shared guest spaces, or public areas, Laragai House offers a flexible base for exploring Laikipia at a relaxed pace, combining private-home living with guided safari activities and conservation access.
