Kicheche Laikipia

PLAN MY TRIP

Kicheche Laikipia Camp is a small-scale tented property situated within the wilderness zone of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya: the country’s largest Black Rhino sanctuary.

The camp accommodates just six luxurious tents (including a family suite) positioned around a waterhole, creating a strong sense of seclusion and premium experience.

Accommodation is designed with comfort and wilderness in mind: each tent features hot-and-cold running water, a spacious enclosure, and a veranda overlooking the waterhole where game congregates. The communal lounge and dining area further enhance the guest experience, opening onto the bush and offering cozy interiors for cooler evenings.

Wildlife access is a main highlight of the camp. Ol Pejeta supports large populations of black and white rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards and rare northern species such as oryx and Jackson’s hartebeest.

Since the camp is in a low-vehicle-density zone, guests benefit from a quieter safari atmosphere and more flexible game-viewing opportunities. Additional activities include guided bush walks, mountain biking, and wild-camp excursions for those seeking added variety.

Operationally, the camp emphasises sustainability and intimacy. Power is supplied via solar systems, and the remote setting reinforces the sense of wilderness while still delivering high-quality service.

Kicheche Laikipia Camp offers a refined safari stay that successfully combines environmental integrity, private wildlife access and polished hospitality — ideal for guests seeking both comfort and wildness.
