Emboo

PLAN MY TRIP

Emboo is a contemporary safari camp located in the heart of Kenya’s Maasai Mara, set within a quiet, forested bend of the Talek River.

With just eleven thoughtfully designed tents, including one family unit, the camp offers an intimate stay while maintaining easy access to the Mara River’s renowned migration crossing points. Open year-round, Emboo balances a strong sense of place with innovative design and environmental responsibility.

Emboo is a fully net-zero operation, and the country’s only safari property to operate a full fleet of electric vehicles, allowing guests to enjoy silent, solar-powered game drives that minimize environmental impact while enhancing wildlife encounters. Sustainability extends throughout the camp, from energy systems to waste management and food sourcing.

Accommodation is designed for comfort and functionality, with twin or double beds, en suite bathrooms with plumbed showers, provided toiletries, in-room safety deposit boxes, and private decks overlooking the surrounding forest. Wi-Fi is available, though service can be variable given the remote location. A swimming pool offers a welcome retreat during warmer hours.

Activities include guided game drives in electric vehicles, nature walks around camp, and optional hot air balloon safaris. Dining follows a fresh, farm-to-fork philosophy, with all meals included and most drinks covered, excluding premium cellar wines, spirits, and champagne. Guests may choose communal or private dining, with bush picnics available on request.

Easily accessed via a 20-minute drive from Ol Kiombo Airstrip, Emboo delivers a refined safari experience that seamlessly blends comfort, conservation leadership, and forward-thinking innovation.
