Nyamatusi Mahogany

PLAN MY TRIP

This peaceful getaway creates a unique, family-focused safari experience in one of the most wildlife-rich places on Earth.

With two tented suites and two family suites, this safari lodge is built specifically with families in mind. The intimate atmosphere helps children and families find adventure in a private setting. While each suite has canvas walls, the entire camp is built on a raised deck with natural wood floors, wooden internal walls, and luxurious furnishings. En suite bathrooms include an indoor shower, but each room also has a private outdoor shower for a more authentic safari experience. Large windows and private decks offer wide views of the Zambezi River and the surrounding landscape. Air conditioning and private plunge pools provide ultimate comfort.

Nyamatusi Mahogany is located on the banks of the Zambezi River in Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe. The river makes up the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. This is a land rich in iconic African wildlife for visitors to enjoy, including a variety of unique bird life and big game such as elephant and lion. Some of the wildlife can even be observed in camp from the comfort of the raised lounge or the pool.

Guests can take advantage of the varied terrain by venturing out on foot, in an open vehicle, or by boat. Twice daily game drives allow all guests to access the wilderness with a knowledgeable guide. Canoeing trips are available for those interested in exploring the river, as well as catch-and-release fishing from the shore. Nyamatusi Mahogany, to welcome visitors of all ages, runs the Ngwana Club: a kids-only program that provides excursions, crafts, and cooking lessons for younger guests to learn about the surrounding land and culture.

This camp is ideal for family groups because of its stylish accommodation and variety of activities. Every aspect of the lodge, from the pool to the rooms to the campfire areas, was designed to enable families to find adventure in nature and still relax in a luxurious and comfortable living space.
