Nile Safari Lodge

PLAN MY TRIP

Arranged on the banks of the White Nile, this luxury thatched lodge blends comfort and style with excitement and adventure

Right along the world’s longest river, Nile Safari Lodge has eight cabins they call “bandas”, after a traditional thatched central African house. Each banda is spacious and secluded, with an en suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers, and a private deck with comfortable seating to watch the scenery. There are six deluxe bandas and one exclusive banda (with a private plunge pool and outdoor bed). One family villa, ideal for larger family groups, includes a private swimming pool, campfire, and optional outdoor barbeque dinner. Each banda has a unique view of the river and Uganda’s lush forests.

Located along the Nile River in northwestern Uganda, Nile Safari Lodge is in the heart of one of Uganda’s most beautiful national parks. Visitors can explore the beauty of Murchison Falls National Park in sustainable and eco-friendly ways on the lodge’s 32 acres of property. The forests surrounding the lodge are also home to many diverse and beautiful birds. A large population of chimpanzees make their home in the nearby Budongo forest, the largest mahogany forest in East Africa.

Perfectly situated to offer guests a variety of activities, whether on the water or in the forests, guides at the lodge are always happy to share their knowledge. Game drives and river cruises are optimal ways to encounter native wildlife and soak in the breathtaking landscape. Guests can explore the forests and falls on a closer level on foot through various guided treks. The calming atmosphere at the lodge is best experienced during a private massage or relaxing swim.

Communal dining on the grounds allows guests to share stories from the day over gourmet, a la carte meals. The lodge is committed to supporting local conservation initiatives that are dedicated to protecting the biodiversity of the national park. Nile Safari Lodge uses solar power, conserves water, and farms its own produce to preserve the vast and beautiful environment while providing an exciting experience for guests.
