With just 5 luxury safari tents, this bush camp has an intimate atmosphere. Each tent has an outdoor bucket shower as well as an en suite bathroom and is furnished with a king bed that can be separated into two twins. A private verandah outside each tent looks out on the Kazinga channel and the far away Rwenzori Mountains. The water outside is teeming with wildlife that guests can observe from the comfort and luxury of their private tent.

Honey Bear’s position along the Kazinga channel in southwestern Uganda gives it unique access to diverse birdlife and game. The water outside the camp attracts animals of all sizes and is home to many kinds of fish and waterfowl. Hippos grunt and splash in the channel as guests relax in the evenings in their tents or the camp’s common seating areas. The only camp located on the Kyambura Game Reserve, guests visiting Honey Bear have a vast landscape to explore that is open just to them.

Game drives and expertly guided walking safaris allow guests to immerse themselves in the wilderness and wildlife surrounding the camp. Boat cruises and catch-and-release fishing trips are available for visitors looking to explore the channel. Private vehicles and sundowners make a stay even more personal. Back at camp, guests can enjoy fine meals in a communal dining tent and relax for high tea in a comfortably furnished common seating area. The camp is within driving distance of many other activities, including hot air balloon trips, chimpanzee trekking, and cultural tours.
