Republic of Congo

Radisson Blu M’Bamou Palace Hotel

PLAN MY TRIP

Located on the famous Congo River in beautiful Brazzaville, the Radisson Blu M’Bamou Palace Hotel offers a wide variety of comfortable rooms as well as first class hospitality.

Accommodations at the hotel consist of 178 rooms ranging from standard rooms to suites to the stunning penthouse. Each stylish room combines African flair with modern amenities such as free high-speed internet, mini bar, Nespresso machine, in-room safe, access to the gym, and the Super Breakfast Buffet. The business and diplomatic suites have access to the relaxing business lounge. While the spacious Royal Suite also comes with a in-room kitchenette and private outdoor balcony. Though nothing can beat the ultimate luxury of the two-bedroom penthouse with its fully equipped kitchen and wide private balcony featuring breathtaking views of the city.

The hotel is named after the explorer Pierre Paul François Camille Savorgnan de Brazza and is located overlooking the Congo River within easy access of shopping, restaurants, and safari adventures. The capital city of Brazzaville was founded by the French Colonial Empire in 1880 when the local king signed a treaty of protection. The city even served as the capital of French Libre during WWII. Brazzaville sits across the Congo River from the Democratic Republic of Congo’s capital, Kinshasa making them the only two capital cities in the world to face each other. Moreover, it is bordered by the lush, tropical rain forests that the Congo is known for.

Some exciting nearby attractions to visit include the beautiful Basilique Sainte-Anne of the Congo built in 1949 by Roger Erell, the colonial Palais du Peuple which is currently the presidential residence, and Sacred Heart Cathedral, the oldest existing cathedral in central Africa. The large outdoor market at Poto Poto features a large assortment of African clothing and handmade crafts. Or visitors can stroll along the Congo River to Mbudi Park. The city is a great jumping off place before beginning a safari to Odzala National Park for a chance to spot the majestic western lowland gorillas that live in the dense rainforests.

The hotel has several delicious restaurants to choose from. The M’Bamou Larder serves up tasty international cuisines. For a feast for the eyes and the palate, Le Feu des Saveurs overlooks the Congo and dishes up a variety of local and international flavors. The Il Taglio pool bar offers up spectacular views of the pool and waterfalls plus pizza, pasta, snacks, gelato, and cocktails. The hotel also includes a pampering salon and spa, fully equipped gym, charming gardens, and a gift store for all those souvenirs and presents. Guests can even dance the night away at the hotel’s hot night club, L’Etoile.
