Located on the malaria-free Lapalala Wilderness Reserve, Tintswalo Lapalala features tented luxury in a diverse and productive bushveld paradise.

Accommodations at Tintswalo Lapalala consist of seven luxury suites, which are styled to pay tribute to Africa’s iconic tribes and the early inhabitants of the region. There are four luxury tented suites with indoor and outdoor showers and an outside bath. Two of these luxury tented suites can sleep a family of four. There are two superior luxury tents, each with a spacious bedroom, small lounge area, and large separate bathroom tent; these suites also include an outside shower. There is one superior luxury suite with two bedrooms, each of which has an en-suite bathroom.

All suites feature large private decks and plunge pools as well as views overlooking the mountains and plains of the Waterberg region. All rooms also have air conditioning, electronic safe, mini bar, wood burning fireplace, and mosquito nets. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available both at the main lodge and in the suites. Room service and childcare services are available upon request.

The malaria-free Lapalala Wilderness Reserve is a 3.5-hour drive or 45-minute charter flight from Johannesburg. The reserve is bordered by other private game sanctuaries and has a sheltered location, which offers ideal security for herds of black and white rhino, buffalo, sable, and roan antelope, which are all bred on the reserve. The reserve has a legacy of nature preservation, and the lodge focuses on remaining environmentally conscious. Lapalala Wilderness Reserve is known for its research and breeding programs of rare and endangered species.

Activities at Tintswalo Lapalala include game drives, guided nature walks, boating, fishing, and cycling. Private birding or photographic safaris are also available upon request.
