Game drives are conducted twice a day in off-road vehicles that can follow the animals through rough terrain. For a more intimate adventure, guided walking safaris take guests back to the life of the original pioneers and hunters traversing the wilds up close. Bird watching, astronomy, bush breakfasts, bush dinners, river walks, hippo tours, safari lunches, and wildlife lectures are also available. Constructed around an enormous Jackalberry tree which is believed to be over 200 years old, the lodge’s main deck affords brilliant views of the Sabie River, and frequent wildlife sightings, including members of the Big Five. The lounge area reflects a colonial comfort and looks out onto the deck. An all-inclusive property, the rates include all meals, premium brand beers, spirits, cellar wines, & champagnes as well as all soft drinks, laundry, and free Wi-Fi in guest areas.
