Botswana

Roy In Botswana (March 2019)

PLAN MY TRIP

Join photographic legend Roy Toft as he makes his annual pilgrimage to the photographic mecca of Botswana.

After over a decade of running this safari annually, Roy has gained an understanding of the destination and the wildlife. He works closely with the guides in each camp to achieve the best photographic opportunities possible. Roy’s vast experience in photography and animal behavior make this the type of safari that participants return to many times over.

This small group photographic safari visits Botswana in the “secret” season of March, when babies abound and the lush green vegetation brings color to every image.

The trip kicks off when the whole group meets up in Johannesburg for a pre-safari dinner. From there you’ll head into the Okavango Delta for a total of nine days in three different camps. The camps have been carefully chosen to cover near every biome in the Okavango. You’ll be at water camps, dry camps, and hybrid camps, allowing the full scale of activities and subjects.

Tip: There are great options for contrasting this delta safari with desert add-ons in the Kalahari or in Namibia, not mention the accessibility of nearby Victoria Falls.

Itinerary in brief:

Safari also includes:

  • Maun to Johanneburg return flights.
  • Maximum 5 guests per photographic vehicle.
  • Increased luggage capacity for camera gear.
  • Gratuities for all safari camp staff and local guides.

*Please reach out to us for information about availability, costs, and potential extensions.
