The Weinberg Windhoek

PLAN MY TRIP

Located in a quiet and fashionable suburb of Windhoek, The Weinberg is a small boutique hotel with elegant accommodations and attentive service.

The hotel has forty-one charming rooms that blend old-world style with clean, modern lines. The Courtyard Fountain Rooms open onto a serene courtyard decorated with plants and fountains. While the Courtyard View Rooms provide a scenic overview. The spacious two-story Oasis Lofts and Family Lofts are great for families or groups and include an en suite bedroom, separate lounge with pullout sofa bed, and a kitchenette. Every room comes with comfy beds, a flat screen satellite television, air-conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and rainfall shower.

The Weinberg is located on the award-winning Am Weinberg Estate in a quiet suburb of Namibia’s capital city. Once a German colony, vestiges of Windhoek’s colonial heritage can be seen in the proliferation of German buildings scattered throughout the city. Frequently used as a jumping off place for Namibian safaris, the city offers its own exciting sights such as Christuskirche, the old Lutheran church; the National Gallery of Namibia; the craft market in Post Street Mall; and the unique beer garden at Joe’s Beer House since the city is the brewing capital of the country.

For the more adventurous there are plenty of tours and day-trips available from Windhoek. There is horseback riding in the hills outside the city. Katutours offers guided bike tours through the culturally and historically rich township of Katutura near Windhoek. The Hofmeyer Walk is an impressive trail through the Klein Windhoek Valley and takes hikers through the bushland for spectacular views of the city and a chance to see the aloe plants whose blooms attract many bird species. A small capital city by global standards, it is growing by leaps and bounds and known as a very clean city.

The property has three chic lounge spaces including the stunning Sky Lounge where guests can enjoy tapas or a cocktail while enjoying the panoramic views. For the ultimate fine dining experience, there are two restaurants at the hotel with both indoor and outdoor seating that dish up a feast of chef-inspired creations. The Delicatessen has a large selection of ready-made meals including gourmet sandwiches and baked goods. The 5-Star Soulstice Day Spa has an extensive menu of relaxing and pampering treatments utilizing the latest techniques and products in modern skin and body care.
