Mara Toto Camp is inspired by original 1920’s style safari camps, with light canvas and high apex tents supported by huge gum poles.

Located in a small bend in the Ntiakitiak River and situated where savanna meets thick forest, Mara Toto Camp offers a blend of adventure and privacy to guests seeking a magical experience inspired by East Africa’s romantic safari era.

Accommodations at Mara Toto Camp consist of four spacious and luxurious tented rooms. Each is equipped with en-suite bathroom with a brass safari shower. For your comfort, there are mosquito nets, fan, pure cotton linens, and dressing gowns available in all rooms. The tents are very private, hidden from noise and lights, set down low, under a grove of Africa ebony trees. The overall aesthetic of the camp is simple and comfortable, with a humble main area lit by candles and lanterns. This camp is an ideal destination for families or small groups, who would like to relax in a hidden haven.

Guests will enjoy participating in exciting game drives in specially designed Land Cruisers. Game drives are offered in the early morning, late afternoon, or even full-day excursions. There are wildlife viewing opportunities in both the Maasai Mara Reserve and the Mara North Conservancy. This camp’s location is ideal to experience both the annual southern migration from the Serengeti, and the green season migration from Loita Plains. Animal calls are often audible from camp as well and Mara Toto is known for resident leopards who are seen exploring the riverbanks!

Hot-air ballooning is also a popular activity available nearby. Guests at Mara Toto Camp may borrow a professional camera set during their stay and take their photos stored on a USB upon their departure. High-quality binoculars are also available on a complimentary basis.
