Sayari Camp

PLAN MY TRIP

Located in the northern Serengeti, award-winning Sayari Camp is known both for its prime access to the wildlife and its luxurious accommodations.

The camp has fifteen tented suites. Each suite has a king-sized bed, with two twins available upon request set, dressed in fine linens and resting on a mahogany wood floor. The en-suite bathrooms come with a walk-in shower and an egg-shaped bathtub as well as views of the northern Serengeti plains. A private veranda offers the perfect place to relax and watch the wildlife roam past. There is one honeymoon suite available. With similar amenities to the standard tent, the honeymoon suite also has both an indoor and outdoor shower and a large sofa and daybed on the private veranda.

The camp is ideally situated in the world-famous Serengeti near the Lamai Wedge making it a prime spot for watching the great migration. Every year millions of wildebeests and thousands of zebras and Thomsons gazelles flood the plains in search of new pastures while the predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas, and wild dogs follow close behind. But the nearby Mara River kicks up the drama as awaiting Nile crocodiles snap at the chance for a meal as the herds cross the water. Sightings of elephants and rhinos are common here. While bird lovers will enjoy a chance to spot some of the 500-species found in the area.

Open 4×4 vehicles specially designed for long game drives are equipped with comfortable seats, charging units, and large refrigerator. The expert guides ensure everyone sees something memorable during the day. Guided nature walks take a more intimate look at the local flora and fauna. For an additional cost, hot-air balloon safaris glide high above the Serengeti for an aerial view of the savanna and wildlife below. Cultural visits explore the local Merenga village to learn about the Kuria tribe, their culture, traditions, and way of life. Bush breakfast and picnic lunches assure a good meal even when exploring the plains.

Sayari has two mess tents providing more tranquil spaces to relax and have a delicious meal. Each mess tent house a peaceful lounge, a library, a bar, and both an indoor and outdoor dining space. The camp’s refreshing rim-flow pool is framed by the natural rock formations creating a sheltered space with excellent views of the Serengeti. At night, guest gather around the fire to enjoy a drink and swap a story. The camp’s spa has a range of pampering treatments available.
