Game drives are conducted twice a day in off-road vehicles that can follow the animals through rough terrain. For a more intimate adventure, guided walking safaris take guests back to the life of the original pioneers and hunters traversing the wilds up close. Bird watching, astronomy, bush breakfasts, bush dinners, river walks, hippo tours, safari lunches, and wildlife lectures are also available. For a cultural tour, the lodge provides the wonderful opportunity to visit the Henna Pre-School within the Huntington community, and to see first-hand the work that More Community Trust does to help the local population. Constructed around an enormous Jackalberry tree which is believed to be over 200 years old, the lodge’s main deck affords brilliant views of the Sabie River, and frequent wildlife sightings, including members of the Big Five. The lounge area reflects a colonial comfort and looks out onto the deck.
